Highs and Lows
Sort the card deck with all the orange cards in one row and all the blue cards in another (fan style) with emotion words showing. Invite people to think through the day or past week and pick out one card that represents a low emotion and one that reflects a high emotion. Then use the following questions as prompts: Why did you pick that card to describe your low or high feeling? Was there a specific situation that led to the emotion? If so, what? Who were you with or what was going on at the time? Are you alone, or do you see others struggling with these emotions as well? Recognizing that you are a human being of infinite worth, how can you accept yourself for who you are and accept your feelings as valid and real and not a sign of weakness?
